Well, today I got pulled over for being very bad while driving. It was about a 340.00 dollar fine.....

But....I started bawling my eyes out....and let her know it wasn't because she pulled me over, but that I was having a rough time....and the kind heart actually let my guilty butt off the hook!

Guess there are rainbows even during some of the roughest storms.

Please know you are doing everything you can, and more.

Well, we made it through the surgery today.

We had a pretty good experience considering the nursing staff were working three nurses short. Always amazes me when you still get good care when they are stretched that thinly.

Thank you for all your kind and positive thoughts.

I'll keep updated.

Oh dear Milo. So sorry to hear the dogs are feeling this so much as well. But of course they are very perceptive.
Good news about the surgery. Please keep us posted.

Milo,

Hope recovery goes well from the surgery.

Pups can get sick from the stress--might vomit up blood. Ugly to see, but not abnormal for stressed dogs.

Gentle stuff for their stomachs like rice (and hamburger).

Good luck.

Hoping things just continue to get better as your wife recovers and heals from surgery.

I've found a little plain yoghurt for the dogs when they've been throwing up seems to help too. Yoghurt and rice is a good option.

Keeping your entire family in my prayers (humans and dogs). flower

Glad surgery went well. Hoping for best outcome for you both.Smile

Not sure what's up with the dogs - lot of us have had sick or injured dogs lately. I do rice and mix in a little bit of sugar to help settle tummys or if they are stopped up, a bit of pumpkin usually helps.

You're in my thoughts.

So sorry to hear what you're going through Milo. Hope you and your wife are both managing ok and have local support too. It's at times like this an international forum has its downsides as I'm sure we always wish we could help more practically than words on a screen.

Take care

I feel as though I'm on pins and needles. My breathing is tough. I feel as if I'm in another world.

Life as I know it can change today, with a few short words. I need strength. I'm always the rock.

Today, I feel no strength. For the fisrt time ever I'm looking at my stash of pain meds for a distraction rather then pain relief. (I won't cross that line, but I want to)

I need to borrow some of your strength you guys. Please send me your positive thoughts so I can help my wife get through this day that will alter our lives forever. <3

Milo,

I know it's hard. I'm normally the rock in my family too and when we lose it, it's hard because there is no one there for us. Everyone is still looking to us. Believe me, I was at a low one night and poured a rather large glass of wine - did absolutely nothing...I just didn't want to feel for a while and it didn't work. I know it's tempting but don't go there, it won't help.

I'd like to give you a big hug and say what ever the outcome, it will be okay. Just know that we care about you and you can PM me if you need to. Smile

Milo, you and your wife and pups you all guys are in my thoughts. May everything go well. Best as possible.
Sweetie, if you are so tired and stressed you are eying the stash perhaps that's what you need.

Once, just ONCE, won't hurt, meanwhile make an appmtn with your dr to ask for something for stress like valium
because you too, need to take care of yourself mentally.

hugs, Risa

Ok, so the doctor called and said they could not start treament based on the current pathology results and that her sample needed to go through further testing. This is going to take more then a week. I think I'll go crazy before a week is up.

Milo,

This is so hard for you. For you both. Can they give you something just to ease the anxiety a little.
She needs you. You need to not drive yourself nuts with anxiety if you can.
I cant stand waiting, it destroys me. I think would ask for something.

Take care.

Milo,
I'd get the same anxiety as you, so you have all my sympathy.

Two years ago I was in your shoes. Daddy had a lump on his liver and it took 6 months to make the final diagnosis and decided what to do. Finally the diagnosis arrived. It was not 100% positive, the biopsy revealed 20% of the cells as cancerous. They were well disguised and encaplusated by 5 cm of benign lump, but they were there and needed to be removed.
So, thanks God the right exams were made. It meant months of anxiety but no mistakes on the right thing to do.

I will keep my fingers (both of my hands and of my feet) crossed for you and your wife.

Hugs
Ivy

I'm not so much anxious, as worried. My wife is really struggling with anxiety though.

Today her GP finally got on board...he was unaware this was happening. He has prescribed her something for anxiety and called the pathologist to get a clearer picture. (Her GP is also a friend of ours)

The pathologist told him that there were definately abnormal cells and that his gut was saying Hodgkins but that he could not diagnose based on the earlier tests.

This has actually given me some relief.

Her GP will be a great support for her, as she really trust him. She had been quite upset that she had not yet heard from him, but then today we found out that he was completely unaware.
