calcium supplements...important news....
I heard on the news to-day that calcium supplements could increase the risk of heart and stroke. One doctor said she believes the recommendations should be changed. Wanted to post this as most women, including myself, take calcium supplements. I am going to discontinue mine for the time being.

Don't you get frustrated by the wave of do this it'll extend your life...a month later OMG don't do that it'll kill you.
So many studies about vitamin D and it's benefits, then oh no it's bad, then Dr. Oz saying keep taking it I am right!

I don't take the osteoporosis meds because the DDS in my area are squirrely about working on you, so I take the calcium.
I'm just gonna drink milk.

very discouraging
hi kathy it's very discouraging. you think you're doing the right thing only to find out you're harming yourself. doctor's wonder why we go to google to check on what they say. when i heard the latest on calcium it was hard to even be surprised. it's all trial and error. our bodies are the playground ,,,,

Ya it's all confusing. I started taking calcium supplements a few weeks ago, and I think they have been making me feel a lot better. Especially when it comes to my sleeping (have a lot of muscle tension when sleeping). I know I don't get enough calcium in my diet, mainly because I don't really eat dairy. I take what is the low end of the RDA for someone my body weight, and I think I will keep taking it. I just stick to the everything in moderation theory.
