I don't understand why he didn't find my impersonation of Bob Dylan singing Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" riotously funny. I did!
I think he might have preferred it when I was sitting quietly in a corner.

Well we love you Charlotte! Glad you are feeling well enough to be singing. And deep down DH is glad that you are returning to your old self. He just isn't used to this "new" you.

You go girl! Have fun and don't worry about your audience! No one pays to hear you (or me sing) so we can both belt out whatever we desire! Glad you are up to singing!

EVERYONE asks me, plead and beg me, to please stop whenever I sing. I think that they just don't appreciate those of us who can lend a "different" sound to song.

I have the singing LOUD and STRONG down pat. It's the on- key part that's the problem. Poor hubby and son.

HAHA Me too. My daughter and I were driving up to my Mom's once ( a four hour drive) and I'm singing along with the radio and she keeps turning up the volume. I just sang louder. Finally she starts laughing and tells me she was trying to drown me out!
Jeez! No restpect!

I know I'm bad. When Abby was a pup, I used to make hurt noises to teach her how to "bite nice". In other words, if she got too rough, it was a signal to her. Well when I'd do that, she'd lick my face to say "sorry I hurt you". Most of the time when I'm in the car with her and I start singing, I have to fend her off. She's trying to slime me. So what does that say for my skills....

I don't understand this either- when I start singing the birds suddenly dart away from the trees????

Hurt Sounds?
I used to sing when I lived on the farm while fishing in the pond. Before long there would be cyotes stalking me from the tall grass and brush. I guess I sounded like a wounded animal. Funny thing also, the fish didn't seem to bite too well while I was singing.
I've heard that when we die and if we go to Heaven, we get to sing in the choir. I'm a bit concerned that some of us might not make it due to inabillity to harmonize.
I used to know this guy that could sing sharp and flat at the same time. He had the abillity to tighten up one side of his vocal cords at a time. He sounded like a train whistle. Kinda cool.

I can sing pretty well if I'm singing in a chorus or choir. As long as I have a GOOD, strong singer standing next me. If they're strong and off-key, I'm singing off-key along with them.
Both my folks could harmonize beautifully with out music. I have to have sheet music in front of me to even stay in the same scale.
