got approved for disability!!!

I just got the letter today from the Administrative Law Judge who heard and reviewed my case, and I won! I finally won my disability case! I am so relieved..now, my husband and I can breathe a little easier financially, and I can focus on just getting better! Thank you to all of you who have given me insight and supported me through all of this...

Thanks, all! It's nice to know you were all pulling for me and understand the struggle to get to this point. I never thought I would be disabled in my life, especially, at this point in my life, but I have to learn to cope with that label, I suppose. I just pray that I can find something that will help me and I will get better and be able to go back to work one day....

Great news. I believe you file for SS benefits on behalf of your minor children. Each is entitled to some money based on your benefit. Also keep your records updated. My aunt said there is a review at 3,5, or 7 years ??
She only had one before turning 65.

And, Riley, thanks. I thought that they would automatically award my kids their benefits under me, but I had to call SS and set up a claim for them. I have a phone appointment on Thursday to complete the claim with SS. Just another hoop to jump through...
