I have firbomyalgia, but I don't have any bowel problems, or IBS.
I am not aware that there a direct connection between the two, Dawn?

hi I don't have fibro but I do have IBS and migraine.

I have to avoid all foods that contain fibre at all costs else I am in pain for days. Worst culprits are anything wholemeal (bread, crackers ect), weetabix, branflakes...and some vegetables, cauliflower, broccoli and brussells. I had a digestive biscuit the other days and paid for it for 3 days after!!

Everyone is different though, when I was first diagnosed with IBS my doctor gave me fibre supplements!! big mistake but helped me to identify what the problem was Smile

Many people with fibro also have IBS. The main thing to avoid is fibre.
It used to be thought that it helped, but gastros now advise against anything more than a very little fibre.

Hope that helps.
