After 6 days of no powers am thankful for everything....
So a week after the horrible tornados came through Alabama and after 6 long days of having no power, I am so thankful that my friends and family are okay and only sustained minium damage. I wanted to ask everyone to keep this great state and the people that lost love ones and everything in their prayers.
I hope all is well with everyone. Thanks.
Kerri

Hi,
Glad you are ok, that you have power again. Very thankful you are safe. I am in Alabama too, but in central Alabama, where we were very lucky. It is heartbreaking to see the pictures of the northern part of the state, especially Tuscaloosa. I hope all is well and that your migraines aren't bad right now.
Pain free days,

Hunter,
I'm so sorry to hear what your state has been through. It's hard to comprehend the scale of the damage and the horror of what people have been going through. I'm in Queensland, Australia - our state suffered months of flooding and then cyclones hit up north to top it off. We aren't very populated so we were fortunate not to experience the same loss of life - but still, babies ripped from mothers arms by the flood water, and parents and children swept away is an image hard to get out of my mind. That kind of intensity x 300 clearly occurred in Alabama and my heart goes out to the grieving.
I hope your people have a better time with their insurance companies than our people have had. Thousands of homes were/are destroyed here - but insurance companies have said that floods are not defined by water coming through your house as a result of unprecedented rainfall! If it's a flash flood, stormwater run off, urban drainage backing up, a river rising, - all these are different sorts of things and the insurance doesn't cover them as floods necessarily. Hope that's not the case in the USA for the rebuild.
Best of luck,
