Update-Loop recorder implanted
Hi ALL,
I had the reveal loop recorder implanted yesterday. Everything went well. Hopefully, this will let us know if the fainting problem can be corrected by a pacemaker or at least give us some idea of what to do next. I am also going to try ritalin as that seems to help. Hopefully, we can get these fainting spells under some control.
The headache is pretty bad right now, but I am not sure what else i can do about it.
Pain free days,
sailingm

I so hope the recorder is able to record some findings that will give doctors the information they need so they can help you out. You deserve to have someone "fix" the fainting, and maybe it will help with the migraines too.
Praying for you.

I hope it works. You need a break. Wouldn't it be nice if there is a connection between the fainting and migraines...? and this would take care of it. Maybe wishful thinking but lack of oxygen to the brain is not good.

Good luck Sailing.
Watch for post-op infections (hopefully doc put you on anti-biotics). You'll be sore for several weeks.
I hope you can get some data that rules in/out an electrophysiology problem.

Best of luck! I have a pacemaker, and it has helped some....especially with the fainting part...but not always with the migraines. But ANYTHING is better than how it was.
