With the advent of a new year and the addition of new members, I think it would be nice to post our whereabouts. Sure, most of us know where the regulars live (or don't care) but for the sake of new people, how about it?

If you're in the states, no need to be specific, just list the state. If you're not in the states, then just post your country. We can be more specific in PMs.

South East Queensland near the beach in Australia - great part of the world. Very hot and raining here at the moment though - big floods up north. Poor people being flooded out of their homes.

Yes, the floods have been on the news a lot over here in WA. It looks dreadful. I feel so sorry for those people who have lost their homes. Heard the government is chipping in to help but its not like $10k is going to rebuild peoples homes.

Yes Lissie - $10K is going to do nothing but maybe re-settle people into rental accommodation. I am afraid that you can no longer get flood damage insurance in certain areas and they are left in a no-win situation. A lot of the people have just walked away from their homes.

And the lowest of low life are going into others property and robbing them of what they do have left. Makes you lose respect for people doesn't it?

Hi. I'm a newbie living in Alabama, although I'm desperately trying to get out of here. Migraine care is horrendous. BTW would love to hear from people in the UK, as one day I'm hoping to relocate there. Resources, treatments available, etc.

you live in a beautiful corner of the world. I have been there 15 years ago. I spend a month in Australia mainly in Sydney, but I also went on a road trip all the way up to Fraser Island via Byron Bay. I have very fond memories.

Yes, I certainly feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the world. We are experiencing severe flooding and storms at the moment though. Travel is a little difficult and I will be cleaning up some mould when it begins to heat up again.
