The world ends today

Does anyone seriously believe that, I wonder -The day of Judgment is here! Beware!

I have read it reported that there are many people who are actually preparing for the world to end today.
Where such people come from, and how that man who predicts such things makes them believe it, is what baffles me. Obviously he is just "not all there" - still he is taken seriously.

It all sounds like some people live in a parallel universe to the one that most of us know.

One thing is certain - by tomorrow we'll all know the answer, so we don't have too long to wait.

And in the meantime have lots of fun, either way; you cannot loose by making most of every minute on this beautiful earth.

Beautiful day here in WA as well - cool but sunny blue skys, just gorgeous. I have no idea how 1 man things he can predict the end of the world. I am religious and for anyone that's read the Bible, if you do believe in God and His second coming, then you'll know that we know not the hour! It baffles me whether you believe in God or not that one person thinks they know better than anyone else. How could someone possibly come up with this kind of theory and actually have followers that believe it!

Well, we can all breathe sigh of relief - we are obviously still here (surprise, suprise...)

I just wonder where was this man when the world ended for people in Haiti, or during Tsunami in Japan? Such predictions could be very useful...

This old man was wrong before when he predicted the end of the world some years ago. How can he have any credibility left I wonder. But then again, there is no limit to human gullibility it seems.

Lissy, I do not think that this has anything to do with religion - it is all about power and control. Such people use vulnerability of some desperate, or uneducated people to gain advantage and control over them, by scaring and manipulating them very often for some financial benefit. It is all about power over others. So sad.

I just wonder what excuse he will give to these poor deluded lost souls who believed him.
But one thing is certain; no matter how silly that excuse will be, they are going to belive him again, and again.

All this makes for quite an interesting reading.
No wonder that Camping, tha man responsible for all this deception, seems to be in hiding (uless he has been actually "raptured"?).
And people spend so much money, as well...It would be funny, if it was not so very, very sad.

Does this man think that anyone is ever going to take him seriously, again? Although on second thought there are enough miseld and naive people in the world to get ready for the world's demise on the 21st Oct, once again.

What is so tragic is that lives are ruined as a result, and this when such people are not a joke any more. He is an extremely dangerous man and must be see as such.

This guy preaches to his parishenors the 'beginning of the end' so that every disaster right after the date becomes the confirmation that he requires to cement his statements. There was recently a tornato in Joplin Montana, so BAM! he says, see! I told you, the start of the end.

He is very dangerouse because he owns a few radio stations and words are manipulative and the best thing you can do is NOT give him attention.

I don't believe in any of that crap! 2012? Yeah, when the Mayans wrote their calendar many many years ago, that was simply the highest date they wrote it to!! ??? Now that guy says it is In October and he was off 5 months. OK Then he has a stroke. Maybe he is just prophesizing his own demise?? I just don't believe it. I really doubt the world will end anytime soon, if ever. Just a bunch of crap.
