Just a whine...

My face is hurting so much today. I couldn't sleep last night and this morning everything hurts. There is a spot on the side of my nose that is just burning relentlessly. My eyes feel like sandpaper and god help me if I have to bend over or sneeze. My right arm is weak and extremely achy, and my scalp and head hurt too. My back is sore and I just want to sleep, but here I am at work.

There is a massive storm moving into the area and I, the human barometer, am feeling it.

Not the same problem, but I too have a whine.
I have the most awful tinnitus.

Came in my left ear with a big pop and is echoing and pulsing with my pulse
It is so bad it almost hurts.

Its driving me nuts, and I have no idea where it came from.

I dont work so am enduring at home

When my face hurts it's usually sinusitis. And the hurting all over could be a sign of infection coming up.
Any chance it could be it?
Tinnitus- don't know what to do about it...

i know how you feel alli.

the left side of my face got nuked from the stroke i had a few years back. goes from a mild novacaine like feeling to almost totally numb.

my muscles ache from my cholesterol meds.

argh.

I get the face all over thing from sinus too.

Ali you may have noticed my posts lately that I am coming up with weird blood test results. One was the Hashimoto's and the other high allergy level. Both autoimmune problems. My antibodies eating things they shouldn't. With your itches and aches your sounding a bit similiar. My ears are becoming infected to from the rotten sinuses and I'm sure other people must be able to hear the sirens in my ears.

Have you ever had your immunoglobulin e level tested - allergy. Or your Thyroid antibodies tested - not your thyroid level but for antibodies eating your thyroid.

Would be interested if other people with sinus issues and migraine test high as well. I have no idea why it's happening or what it means but might give you some clues.

I am sorry to hear that Alli. It must be torture.

As far as tinnitus is concerned, I have heard taking pain medication over the long term can cause it. I'm not sure if it's true but thought I'd throw it out there.

I have Bilateral Trigeminal Neuralgia II on all three branches which is why I have facial pain. This a condition where you have various types of nerve pain on the main sensory nerve for the face and scalp. I am on medication for it but there is only so much you can do for nerve pain. The Trigeminal Nerve is also one of the ones that causes the horribly crappy migraine pain.

Bad weather, migraines, wind, touching my face, chewing, just being sets it off. It can feel like sinusitis or a toothache so is hard to dx.

I have had my thyroid checked several times and it always comes back normal. I am almost positive that the tinnitus is caused by Effexor. I have an appointment Monday to talk to my Dr about it. There needs to be some changes made to my meds as I am not getting the relief I need.
