This question is for my mom, who recently got hearing aids in both ears. She said after wearing them all day yesterday, she woke up with a terrible migraine this morning. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you think after she gets used to the aids then the headaches will subside?

I wear HAs. When I have M, defintely the noise bother me so much I have to take them off.

It is possible that recently increased volume level gives her HAS,
or perhaps it's the earmolds might be giving her a pressure in the ear, and that could be causing this.

Since I have been wearing mine as a young child, it's hard for me to tell if she'll get used to it,
but I have a feeling that yes she will.

Perhaps she should start at low volumel daily and slowly increase over the time.
Also, maybe wear them only when she is around people for a while?

What kind of HAs does she have?
can she have the programmed so she can switch to reduced background sounds when she feels tired - it's less stressful, but she still can hear voice pretty well from up close.
