Whoopee! My Daughter found a job!
After a year of looking, my daughter finally found a job with Target in their Starbucks kiosk. Whoopee! We are so happy she has a job. It will take a bit of the pressure of financially. I can't believe how long it has taken. I was beginning to think I would be supporting her til she was 30!
Good news for once!

Alli, that's great, good for her. She'll love working for Starbucks, they're a good company. And if she likes coffee, she'll be in heaven, too.
Tell her congratulations.

re:daughter found a job
Great news. My daughter is 19 and has worked one day in her life. She recently decided she was going to sell Avon (not really a job, IMO) but, even with my help, quit after a week.

Lentils, does she like that type of selling? Maybe it was just the product she couldn't get into.
My younger sister sells Cookie Lee jewelry and does so well at it, it's a legitimate 2nd job for her. She puts a whole lot of effort into it though, more than I've ever seen her put into anything else in her life. She earns enough $ and bonus points (its a whole bonus system they have, I don't know how it works) that they have paid for her to go on vacations every year for the past 4 or 5 years. Alaskan cruise, Hawaii, Jamiaca. Next year is some kind of European cruise. She says they're always paid for by Cookie Lee, and it's because she works her tail off. She seems to make good money doing it, too.
It's not my thing, that type of selling, but if you have a good personality for it, I can see where you could be good at it. Maybe that would be something for your daughter to look into? She might like selling jewelry more than Avon. The old adage, you can sell more easily something you genuinely like, and all that.
(Personally, I do not like jewelry very much, so I'd be a terrible salesperson )
