My oldest daughter turns 10 this month. Her actual birthday is the 23rd, but we are giving her a party with her friends on the 15th. The girls coming to the party will sleepover, and the one single solitary boy will not sleepover (obviously). Ha ha. She invited a few more boys but only one is attending. We chose a date during a 1-week off from school and think some of the kids who didn't RSVP are going out of town for the week.

So the party begins at a mini-golf place. We will have pizza and drinks, open presents, and have a big cookie (she didn't want a cake, she wanted a custom cookie), then go outside for a round of mini golf. Then, that one single solitary boy will go home, and the girls will all come back to our house for the sleepover. Including our two daughters there will be 6 girls until about 9pm, then one girl is going home and 5 are sleeping over.

My soon-to-be 10 year old has chosen pink and black as her party colors. If I can figure out how to post pictures here I will try.

Because it will already be dark by the time we get back to the house after mini golf, we are going to do the pinata the next morning before the girls get picked up. The pinata is a cute little ice cream cone.

My daughter is looking foward to this party. I am, too. I hope everything goes well and none of the girls have disagreements. That seems to happen at sleepovers.

I hope the one single solitary boy doesn't feel too out of place with 6 girls!

Sounds like a great party! My son, would not be uncomfortable! He loves to be the center of attention to girls and has always gotten along quite well if he wound up being the only boy. But, it will depend on the outgoing/or not nature of the boy.

Have a blast.......and pictures would be fun! (not brave enough for sleepovers yet.........I am so protectice/conservative.....just not ready yet.

Gosh, sounds great!

You always have such a great ideas, Lynelle and organize everything so well.
Your daughter will sure have a fantastic party and her guest as well!

No, I don't think the boy will be feeling awkward at any time, because I am sure you'll keep and eye on him Smile

Happy Birthday to your sweet 10 years old Princess
