Wedding Plans!!!

My son and his fiance came down from Vancouver to finalize that wedding plans for the San Francisco ceremony at Stern Grove in June OMG that is such a beautiful park! The house is so cute and has a huge kitchen for the food prep. We got all the decoration and seating planned out. Where to put everyone and who is in charge of what. What kind of cake and how they want me to decorate it. So many details!

We only have an hour to prep because someone else is using the facilities before us so we will have to be like a little army with everyone doing their job. Luckily this is the more casual ceremony as the ornate one will be in Austin, so the kids don't want to go get to complicated. Burritos, pizza, fruits, veges and cheese trays are the menu. They can't get good burritos in Vancouver so that is a "must' for the reception. They took a big stack of tortillas back with them.

Chris and Baha are so cute together and make a great couple. We all went out to lunch at a vegetarian Japanese restaurant and had absolutely wonderful food before the left to visit some of their friends. The next few months are going to be a bit hectic.

Well at least they know what they want. Deep breath...and start planning how to get things done in the day. You can do it - one step at a time. And so excited for you...

One year ago I was in your son's shoes. I was planning my wedding. What a wonderful time!
I wish your son and his wife a wonderful life together!

I'll be in you shoes, your son is getting married the same day my son is.

However, I don't have to lift a finger, just be there. And I'm worried about that! I'm glad they're keeping it casual and easy but one hour of prep time is going to need a lot of planning!

Oh gosh what an exciting time for all of you!!

And no way Alli you are too young to have a son who is getting married?!

Thank you.. I had him when I was just a wee girl! No really I was almost 22 when I had him. I'm (gasp) 48. The only good thing my body has done for me besides produce 2 beautiful children, is age well. It's fun when I go out with my kids because no one ever believes at first that they are my children. I told Chris and Baha that they had to wait til I was 50 before they could make me a grandmother. Baha said not to worry, kids were at least a couple of years off, although I must say I'm getting a little excited about the thought of being a grandmother.
