So sick of plumbing woes
I'm sitting here waiting for the plumber and the septic service guy. Every time we try to drain water from any source in the house, it backs up into the laundry room. I've been mopping for 2 days waiting for the plumber to fit us in. This is truly getting on my last good nerve. We need to get it taken care of before the two stoms hit dumping another foot of snow on us. sigh..... Keep me in your thoughts.

Brenda, I sure hope they can get that fixed for you....that is NOT fun having to clean up things like that. I live right near the PA border (near Binghamton) but we keep missing all this snow that you keep getting! Good luck with the plumbers.

I hope the plumber makes it to your house soon, Brenda. It's so difficult dealing with backed up water (we don't have outhouses to fall back on these days). It couldn't be at a worse time either, could it?
You're in my prayers.

Oh gosh, I hate these pesky homeowners problems of any kind.
I will be having to exchange my entire roof this year..
But I guess backed up pipes is waaay worse. I hope the plumber will do a wonderful job, Brenda!

Well, a septic system guy came and pumped the tank out, but the line was still blocked, so the plumber worked on that. 4 hours and $350 later, I can flush. I hope that never happens again. what a horrible day. Top it off with the worst migraine I can remember due to a combination of stress, piggy back bad snow storms, hormones, and terrible odors..... I've had enough of everything to last me awhile. I can't get this migraine to lessen no matter what. I never go to the ER for migraines, but if the roads were passable, I'd be heading there for htis one.

Brenda,
I can so well relate
Horrible experience, especially when plumbers show up whenever they want...
Thanks God it's fixed now

Brenda,
I hope the ER can break your headache and they treat you decently.

A bit off topic - when do you throw in the towel and head to the ER?

Didn't go to the ER Charlotte. THe roads here were impassable. We were under a state of emergency. I just had to ride it out. I'm doing some better today. Not great, but I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
As far as when to throw in the towel and head to the ER, I'm a bad person to ask. I've only done it once. It was when I still lived with my parents. My Dad was an EMT and he took my blood pressure during an attack and made me go because it was so high. I sat in the waiting room for a couple of hours in agony. When the doctor finally got around to seeing me, his diagnosis was "you have a headache, go home and rest." He asked me what all I had tried to break it. I told him the first thing they tried was Toradol pills and they were like an M & M. Did nothing. What script did he send me home with? Yep, you guessed it, Toradol tablets.
The only other ER trip I've had since then was when I went for my kidney stone.
