Cookies That Are Oh So Good :)
In reading Dr. Grumpy this morning--Monday, February 8:
http://www.drgrumpyinthehouse.blogspot.com
I was curious about the "Hillbilly Crack Cookies" that he mentioned.
I had an idea what that could be, and it turns out I was correct.
There is a recipe, if you scroll down here:
http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/465142
It made me smile
And yes, they are very good! I made them last year, and I used Keebler Club Crackers.
Anyone else ever tried these cookies?

Cheryl, Those sound really good. I might have to try a gluten free version after the next batch of snow. Now they are saying another 10-20 inches. I have not seen this much snow except the time I went skiing in Vermont! How much snow do you have on the ground?

We have about ten inches, out here in the country. More on the way. Our snow will probably be around for a long time.
I should describe the cookies. You line a cookie sheet with Keebler crackers, cook together some brown sugar and butter, pour it over the crackers, bake for about five minutes, sprinkle with chocolate chips, spread the melted chips, and then sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Excellent!

I make "cookies" that are incredibly easy and people go absolutely crazy for. They're not for those of you who have chocolate as a trigger. Take two Ritz crackers, spread peanut butter between them, and them dunk them in melted chocolate coating. Let them firm up. OMG they are the best thing ever.

Cheryl,
My ex-husbands grandmother used to make these cookies.
She called it Soda Cracker candy.
They are really good.
