Cookies for The Doctor

It's cookie baking time for our doctor and his nurse (and our home health nurse)...

Anna wrote this in his card:

"Thank you so much for all you do for me, Dr. ___ . You are an amazing doctor! I could not have made it this many years without your love, help, and support. Have the best Christmas ever and take some much needed R&R. You deserve it! Lovingly, Anna

That made me cry! He's been her doctor for seventeen years. In health and in sickness.

It's so nice of her to write a thank you to him. I did the same for my GP. and his nurse. I made a tin of my no fail fudge for each of them, and another for the other girls in the office to share. They seemed genuinely touched by the gesture. I think sometimes they don't get many thanks. Just lots of complaints.

Anna saw him this afternoon. If I hadn't put everything in tins, they would not have been able to accept it. Clinic rules right now. I can't tell you how much he has done to keep us sane in this ten year nightmare

I need to do something like that for my GP... he has been my dr. for over 20 years, and has never charged me more than Medicaid would pay...
