GONE GLUTEN-FREE ANYONE?
Has a gluten-free diet had any good effect on your migraines or daily headaches?

I did Paleo which is gluten free for a couple of years but noticed no change. It does help some though so it would be worth trying.

gluten free
I went gluten free by elimination not replacement. It helped alot. BP went down and some pounds went away. after 90 days I was not gettig the same results and slipped off for 60 days. never got the same results though I used the same plan and was strict. I eliminated all wheat and added fruit and some veg. easy.
Gluten free reminded me of the meds that work for awile and then dont. good luck.

I tried (and am currently on) a ketogenic diet and it has reduced my headaches by about 70%. I went from consistent daily migraine to ~episodic 3x a week. The diet does happen to eliminate gluten, but this is not why it works so well. If you are curious, here is an older thread where it is discussed in detail: https://migrainepage.forumotion.net/t4031-ketogenic-diet

Gluten Free Diet IsTough.....
specially when you are lactose intolerant, like a sandwich (good bread) & can't read all labels. Gluten is hidden in every processed food products. Tried and failed! Flo

Hubby is a celiac (genetically unable to eat gluten) so the house is gf. I've eaten gf for four weeks at a time, for me, it makes no difference. For hubby, if he messes up the diet somewhere, the 3rd day after he'll have a migraine and be a bear to be around

I went gluten free and then progressed to paleo. I saw no improvement in the migraines and seemed to get more nausea than before. I didn't completely give up sugar though but I doubt that would make a difference. I rarely eat gluten now but the migraines still continue.

I went gluten free for nearly 2 years because I bloated every time I ate bread and my doctor thought it might be gluten sensitivity. Did nothing for my migraines and it turned out I wasn't gluten sensitive anyway, just have trouble digesting regular bread.
