Migraine changes
Has anyone gone from the occasional predictable migraine for years to sudden chronic daily migraine? This happened to me and my family GP and my neuro have no explanation.

M changes
My M started one per week. In two years five per week. The end of the third year the intensity had risen to 7-8-9. Then I had two years of that . And now have had two years of meds bringing them down to two a week intensity 3 - 4- 5.
Also have had many different periods of when the M would start , early morning, then early afternoon , then early evening etc.
One big difference now is how fast the M comes. 15 minutes full strength. always had about one hour or more.
What a horriable time its been. Hope better times for you.

M changes
I saw over 18 Drs. chasing a reason or help. There may be help or some relief but the reason for this illness is not known. I wish I had realized that sooner.

Re: Migraine changes
Have had these since 1980............1 or 2 a month - very manageable. November 2008 they became daily - no rhyme, no reason. I am 52 - they keep telling me perimenopause is the reason - I don't buy that but have no good ideas of my own!

Re: Migraine changes
Mine started up almost Dailey when I was 46. None before that. I do think perimenopause is a good part of the problem.

Re: Migraine changes
My doctors say combo of different things - stress, perimenopause, neck issues etc. etc. It's been horrible!

M changes
Mine went to daily at 41. But it was the med that changed my pattern from daily as it worked right away.

M changes
I have used the script clonidine 3 times a day as a preventive. It also works well as an abortive.. I have two M a week intensity of 3-4 . They start really fast and last 3 hours. Two days in a row always.
Before this I had some success with 5-hpt changing my daily M from 7-8-9 to 5-6-7 intensity. 100 mg twice day.
This is 8 years of M for me. Daily M started late 06.
