The key to a successful marriage (and what to look for before making that commitment)

Oh Vicki, I wish that were so.

I'm not asking for answers here, but what will your response to her be when she does get her Green Card and won't leave him because it "will look like (she) married for the Green Card"? She may be right then. How about a year or so later when she can't leave him because their son is far to attached to Daddy? The "reasons" for staying will continue long past her permanent residency.

It's an awful situation, but every single day she stays with him is another day she has to resign herself to a life of misery. She applied for a Green Card prior to marrying him, that can only work in her favor. She needs help now and unfortunately, she may not be able to do that for herself. It's a hell of a tough decision and an even tougher move to make.
