Those of you on Triptans
Mine is acting different just the last week or so.
Taking a long time to work and making me sleepy which Migard never have.
Also having to take 3 over a few days to kill it. Used to be 2.
Been suggested it is probably a blip and probably me, from the bug and the stress of bereavement etc.
Anyone had this? Do they go back to "normal"??

Re: Those of you on Triptans
When mine don't work as well as they should, I beleive it is that I am more stressed than usual. I find I'm holding a lot of tension and clenching a lot and having trouble releasing tension and keeping it released.
I work that with a muscle relaxant at bed and continued relaxing and deep breathing exersizes before I sleep to ensure I fall asleep completely relaxed. That has been helping me get back on track.

Re: Those of you on Triptans
Thanks Angela. I have been through a lot the last 2 months and was hoping that might be the reason.
They are my lifeline and I am usually glad to give in and take one because I know relief is coming eventually.
BUT the last few.....
As for this taking 3 instead of 2. Well I am hoping it's the same thing, I think it has happened before.
The stress is passed now, but its not been a week, maybe takes a little longer...
Thanks.

Re: Those of you on Triptans
Hey!!!
I took my first two pills today and my headache went away but I was really sleepy and passed out for two hours...felt so good.
But the bad news is my nose really hurts. Anyone else have this!

Re: Those of you on Triptans
most of my (MANY) triptans are taken in the middle of the night. i bless the sedating properties they seem to have for me, as i can usually go right back to sleep. this is highly unusual for me, when i am in pain. and i know they don't work THAT instantly to take away the pain.
when i take them in the daytime, though, they don't make me sleepy at all. weird, eh? dianne

I dunno how is it in UK but in Russia its pretty easy to buy fake medicine(one of the reasons I don't like triptans - they are very expensive and thus - very likely to be fake)... maybe this is the case for you this time?

Zekses, In England we dont buy our drugs, we have our National Health scheme.
Drugs are prescribed by a doctor and we go an pick them up. We do pay, but it is the same cost for all prescriptions.
I do know there are some hooky ones on the internet though and would never buy online.
