I went to my government assigned VA doctor today. I wanted to ask him about the Iodine-Magnesium-Vitamin D-Fish Oil-Testosterone some are taking. He said he never heard of it, but that I could try it. He also said I would be wasting my money. He wasn't even interested in discussing it.

sounds like he's an old fish that was used for fish oil.

vit D and testosterone replacement are rather big treatments that can make a person feel better.

blasted bone heads.

Sorry about your doctor. I would say it is worth a try to see if it helps. All of those supplements you can get OTC.

Be careful though Hal. Start one at a time. Amazing how you can react to some items on that list.

Personal poison is the iodine. Suspect testosterone wouldn't do much for me either. Or maybe it would. Might give me superman powers enough to fly into another dimension.

Sadly many doctors are not very knowledgeable about migraines. Even many neurologists will only prescribe what the drug companies are pedaling and not other supplement based approaches. I can't say I got very far with doctors who were supposedly top for migraines in Atlanta so don't feel like it's just the VA.

The vitamin D, iodine, magnesium and omega 3 all are available without a doctors prescription. So feel free to try on your own. The testosterone does require a prescription. My brother has seen good improvement from the others though, so you might try those without the testosterone and see.

They've been advertising testosterone quite a bit on TV lately. Asking if you're sluggish and blaming it on aging that it might be low testosterone.
