Allodynia is making me miserable
For the last week or so I've noticed that when my alarm first goes off, whatever part of my head is touching the pillow hurts like mad. Hitting snooze and changing positions makes a new part hurt and not the previous spot. I thought it was M pain at first but now I'm pretty sure it's allodynia.
Any one have any solutions on how to deal with this? It doesn't hurt when I go to bed but when I wake up it's a definite ouch!

Re: Allodynia is making me miserable
Hi,
Head sensitivity is a nightmare.
We actually think that I probably had pretty severe allodynia when I was an infant. When my mother would bathe me, and try to wash my hair, I would scream "bloody murder." I hated washing my hair, getting a haircut, having it turned under for church, or anyone touching my head when I was little. I always had very short hair, so not much had to be done. Mom actually put the two together when the migraines became chronic at 17. I know, it is weird. To this day, I hate it when anyone tries to touch my head.
When the headache is really bad, even a pillow can hurt. I have found that an ice pack sometimes helps this, as does a cool cloth soaked with witch hazel. I hope it improves for you.
Pain free days,
