Things I LIKE about aging
I don't have to wash my hair everyday. In fact it's better if I don't.
I know which fork to use.
I really don't care if "that guy" thinks I'm cute.
I don't care if anyone thinks I'm cute.
I don't care as much about fashion. If it fits it's "in".
Oh yeah, the wisdom thing.......

Re: Things I LIKE about aging
I now dress for comfort more than style.
I'm more comfortable "in my own skin.
If I want to nap during the day, I do.
If I want to eat ice cream for dinner on a rare occasion, I do it.
I think I'm much more laid back in some ways. Yet in other ways, I find I'm less patient with people who are rude or do things wrong when they know better.

Re: Things I LIKE about aging
The only thing I can come up with that I like about aging is that I can nap with impunity and that I don't care one little bit about what anyone thinks of me. I am happy to be who I am. It's taken years, a divorce, and some really crappy relationships to get here, but the journey was worth it.

Re: Things I LIKE about aging
I like the person I've become because of what I have been through in my life. All of the struggles I've gone through, the hardships, the pain, my divorce, has made me, I think, a better person.
With age comes wisdom, and for the most part, I believe this to be very true. Quite honestly, I would not want to be in my 20's or 30's again. I like being the age I am today. We only feel as old as we act right?
Hugs!

Re: Things I LIKE about aging
I definitely don't care that much what others think of me anymore.
And I don't care about those rolls of fat hanging out here and there, lol, whereas in my twenties it would be a reason to agonize.
I like the knowledge and wisdom I acquired over the years, too.

Re: Things I LIKE about aging
I like liking my own company. When I was younger if I didn't have plans I was beside myself. Now, I'm perfectly content being by myself (most of the time...)
I like expressing my own opinions and not being concerned as to whether others agree with me or not.
I like that I've learned to keep a secret.

Angela, you don't have to be old to do the last thing! I am always meeting new people at the doctor's office or pharmacy! And I'm only 33!
