Anyone in Australia suffer from headaches/migraine and depression?
The HeaD-ON (Headaches and Depression – Overcome Now) team from Monash University and Southern Health is currently recruiting adults who experience headaches/migraines and depression for a psychological research treatment trial. The treatment program is an integration of the best available psychological treatment techniques for headaches and depression. If you or someone you know are interested in participating or would like to know more, please call Dr Rachele Aiello, Project Manager, on 9594 1483, or email Rachele.Aiello@monash.edu or you can leave a message with our administrative staff, Maria Lawlor on 9594 1465.

Re: Anyone in Australia suffer from headaches/migraine and depression?
I looked at the U tube sites for this study and it was a radio interview looking for volunteers and explaining to a minor degree what they are trying to achieve.
The gist was that helping depression can help headaches and vice versa. Studies finding that treatment for either problem can have a positive effect on the other problem. ie treating depression can help the headaches.
After years of trying to find solutions to my migraines and other problems and just being offered anti-depressants by numerous doctors, I found the whole thing hard to take as it just seems to reinforce the idea that my problems are just all in my head.
Does anyone else take it this way, or am I just paranoid??? (In which case the anti-depressants are probably a good idea LOL)
