Petadolex, so far
Hi,
My normal migraine pattern for the last last 4 months is two full blown migraines a week, with daily head pain most days.
On the 28th May I started taking three Petadolex 50mg a day plus one 75mg Aspirin tabs a day. No other changes or no other meds.
Results, I have had seven (7) days without any pain or migraine symptoms, and until today NO full blown migraines, (until today when I am pretty sure I have a full blown migraine developing).
Since Wednesday I have had a few mild head pains but they have been easy to live with.
I have had NO stomach side effects although I already have stomach issues.
All in all I am optimistic, yet it is early days, and I shall keep taking Petadolex for the four months recommended. I am a little disappointed that the headaches/migraines seem to have come again after seven days of nothing.
It certainly is worth trying.
Peter

Glad it's helping!
So, you're saying it's helping with other migraine symptoms besides the headache? I posted a question last night about this. I have the other migraine symptoms more than the actual headache and was wondering it it would help these symptoms.

I began butterfur (Swansons) 3 weeks ago. I have 24/7 headaches/migraine. And still do since beginning the butterbur. I, like you, will continue taking it for 3 to 4 months. Let's see what happens. Keep posting. You seem to have had some results already.

Hi Peter,
I have been on them since April 10. not sure how many weeks that is, but sounds like we are getting the same results. I just went 11 days without a migraine or any headpain (normally when I didn't have a migraine I always had headpain)
I was up to 27 treatable migs. a month!
I feel so much better since I started taking the Pentadolex.... I will keep using it. So far it is the only thing that has brought me any relief in 15 years!
Keep us posted!

Hi theresae and LizzieB,
You ask who I get my Petadolex from. I have to get it from the US, but it is not a problem, I phoned Betterhealth in the US and even by normal Airmail they arrived within a few days to the UK. I think shipping was about £4 but you can Fedex the order but it costs more. I purchased 3 pots as it is a little cheaper, and works out at about £15 a pot (50 gel tabs).
They have not been a cure so far, but they seem to be helping so I will continue for four months,
Peter

Thanks very much for the info Peter. I'm going back yet again on Amitriptyline for the moment to try and break the daily cycle but am bearing Petadolex in mind if things don't improve at all.
Please keep us updated and so glad it's helping.

Liz,
You can buy it over here, but not sure how much it saves.
Good luck.
