It's my late brother's birthday today

It's my baby brothers' birthday today. He died in 2003 from a combination of too many medications.

I celebrated by bringing in a cake for everyone to eat at work. I do it every year.

I miss him.

Commisserations Milo. Lost my two surrogate brothers a few years ago. Too young, so beautiful, sooo sad.

Anniversaries are so hard. Even years later, and I might forget the date, but I'll get very sad and my sister will remind me that it's an anniversary.

I keep a magnet on my refrigerator that says:

Don't cry because it's over,
Smile because it happened.

A hard sentiment though when you're missing somebody.
