Natural Nausea Remedies? Empty Natural Nausea Remedies?

Post  BabySeal Tue Jan 31, 2012 5:49 pm

I figure you all might have a trick or two up your sleeves since nausea/vomiting can be one of those annoyances tied to migraines.

I had caught a awful stomach bug, and although that has cleared up, the nausea has been lingering for DAYS.. and I dont know if it is nausea from that, or from the headaches.. but anyway

So far I have tried fresh ginger, ginger cookies, peppermint tea, and fennel tea.

Any advice would be appreciated Smile

Ginger is the only one that works for me, but it has to be STRONG ginger - it has to burn a bit on the way down.

But you said you tried fresh ginger. How much?

I find that about 3 "coins" of ginger - 1 inch diameter by 1/4 inch thick - boiled for 15 minutes in a cup of water is enough to work for a couple of hours.

I'll often make a sweetened concentrate and just mix it up as I need it.

When I did fresh ginger I was putting about a teaspoon of grated ginger into hot tea I had already prepared. Maybe I will try more if it and let it actually boil into a tea. I think I went wrong there, didn't even think about it! THANKS!

So sorry about you feeeling sick, BS. This can get you really down, I know.

I was also going to suggest ginger, "tea" just like CQ suggested.
I probably take more fresh ginger then she does, and chop it finely but I also boil it (often in microvawe if I am in a hurry) but basically it is the same. I drink it either hot, or cold later on. I quite enjoy it anyway.

I usually make more then I need, and keep it ready for later and I prefer not to add any sweetness to it, as I don't like anything sweet when I feel sick.
But you can also add a little honey of you wish, ginger and honey go well together in terms of flavours. I hope this helps.

Peppermint, ginger, coke a cola, and benedryl have all worked for me at different times. What works best is my phenergan though. lol

Post  japetter Tue Feb 07, 2012 6:24 pm

supine, with white radish juice intranasally, right pain drops left, left pain in the right drop. Every 3 to 4 drops, 2 to 3 times a day, can cure migraine

if you left side headache put white radish juice 3-5 drops in your right nostril.

if you have the right side headache put the left nostril as well.

good luck
