Finally, after many years, found a doctor...
After many years of pain, and no doctor of any kind, I found a family doctor! Had a brief, get to meet you, meeting to-day. I will make another appointment to discuss my headache/migraine situation. It's a start. Who knows what will come of it but at least my foot is in the door. I find it very, very difficult to get across how much pain I'm in. To-day, with an extremely bad headache, I had to fill out forms while at the appointment. I could barely figure out how to write. And nobody seemed to notice. Oh well, I got through it. That's certainly the main thing. I feel quite releived that I got there (son drove me). Actually, it was a bloody miracle! I'm sure everyone here knows what I mean.

I totally know what you mean, I can't concentrate long enough to fill out the forms. I have to make my Mom and Husband fill out the forms for me.
I know what it's like to have to have someone drive you to appointments...My Mom is luckily able to drive me, because honestly, I don't trust myself to drive more than a block anymore.

Hi there:
Yes, I thought someone would understand. Isn't it amazing how you can be standing there in excrutiating pain and the world keeps going on around you oblivious. And then they ask you to fill out forms. I doubt I would even recognize my own handwriting on the forms from to-day. For all I know I just signed my life away. I wonder if it would hold up in court that I didn't know what I was doing because of migraine! ): Anyway, how are you? I saw on your previous post that you will be going into the hospital. When will that be? Are you still feeling positive about it?

I'm glad you have found a gp. I know how hard it can be. I think my new one and I are starting to understand each other. Hope you can get a good relationship happening with yours.

hi there
It can be difficult to get a relationship going with a doctor I find. I'm on the fence as to how I feel about this one. Instead of forming an instant "first appearance" response I'm going to go in a few times and feel it out. My fingers are crossed too! G.

At first I was skeptical about my doctor but now after being a patient there for almost 6 months I absolutely love them and think of them as my own little life savers. I am so happy I didn't switch offices and I gave them the chance they deserve.

Thats wonderful Gailgigi. Don't be afraid to bring in information and questions. Only the odd one is a jerk. Most want to help.
