It's Vicky's birthday within the next 7 days. I hope she does show up soon so that we can have a virtual birthday party for her.

Yep, today is my birthday. Is there some alert that lets you know of such things? I got PM from Pen also today, which is what brought me to the site.

Tonight my parents, my best friend, and I are going to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate her and my birthdays. Her birthday was the day after Valentine's Day, but we didn't get a chance to celebrate it until now. I'm just hoping my head holds up!

I also have some stuff to help my mom with in preparing for my best friend's baby shower on Saturday! We're going to have a few kinds of salads (pasta, broccoli, and spinach salads) and then various breads and other hors dours (or however you spell that word!). And then we ordered a cake from Costco to say, "Welcome Baby Jacobsen!" We already know his name, but they're not giving it out publicly until after he is born in late April or early May.

Since my famiy is her only "family" here in CA (she's from Mongolia), we've gotten to be in on things from the start! And she even wants us to come to the hospital when she gives birth! I'm going to be an aunt (of a sort)!
