Aura during an attack
I normally don't get aura before a migraine; in my life I've had it 4 times.
Last time was last Thursday. The weird thing was that it occurred after I took my abortive, so well after the prodrome phase, when it's normal to get aura.
It was typical aura however. It lasted 10 minutes and caused the typical flashes of lights.
The day before, I had a check up with eye-doctor and he put me drops to dilatate the pupils. May this have helped to get aura?
Thanks

Re: Aura during an attack
Hello
I doubt the eye drops had anything to do with your aura as it's a neurological symptom, not an optical one. If the aura is unusual to you it's always worth getting checked out, however, I think a lot of people on this board will have experience of auras during the 'pain' phase of migraine. I certainly get them at strange times, before and during the migraine, sometimes they last for hours, sometimes minutes.
