I'm giving up on conventional medicine as nothing has ever worked for me (and I've been trying for some 30 years!) Has anyone tried Bowen Therapy and if so did it work? did it help?

Yes, I tried it.  Sadly it didn't help at all.  But that doesn't mean it won't help you.  Everyone is different.

I have a lot of muscle and joint pain from Lyme Disease.  A deep tissue massage makes me really sore.  Bowen Therapy was fine while it was happening but by the time I got home I was really hurting.

My therapist said some people get a little sore on the first treatment but she never saw anyone get sore like I do.  Welcome to my nightmare.  It's very nice, non-invasive and very relaxing but just wasn't for me.

I still say give it a try, especially if you have a coupon which I did.

Good luck - Cathy

With this, as with other approaches, it is good to look for some evidence that it works. I did not see any on their website.

Bowen Therapy for Migraine Empty Bowen Therapy

Here is some old postings and my experience with Bowen Therapy:

What has provided relief (but not eliminated the headache) for me is Cranial Sacral Therapy.  If you decide to try it look up "Upledger Institute,"  the site lists practitioners in your area. Here is the website: http://www.iahp.com/pages/search/index.php

Mind you I do not have migraines, just a chronic headache due to tight muscles caused by long term 'statin use.

Bowen Therapy for Migraine Empty botox here we come!

Post  myheadhurts Sun Mar 20, 2016 1:14 pm

just to give the forum the latest updates on my migraine headaches. Recently my neurologist has approved for me to have botox treatment free on the NHS, so I will report back as to it's success or otherwise. After all these years of trying to get some cure/relief I hold little confidence in this new treatment working....still I should look younger Very Happy Very Happy
