Cefaly availability
I have been watching the posts for the Cefaly device and got the prescription from my doc a few months ago and got a Cefaly. While I haven’t done any actual documenting of the migraines, I know I’m doing better. I have other health issues such as fibromyalgia and arthritis that affect me and I have to sort out the issues.
I’m using a bit less of my painkillers and have a more ability to do housework and such. I still work so I had only been going to work and coming home and collapsing but can do a little more now. It seemed to not be doing as well as I kept increasing the intensity and I went back to using the lower levels and I seem to do better without letting it get to the higher intensity. It’s not as much of an improvement as I would have liked, but I am getting some relief and I feel it’s worthwhile and will continue to use it.
I really wanted to get on and tell everyone that there is a Cefaly on e-bay for about $202 including shipping. That’s about as good as it gets. I paid well over $300 so if anyone can’t get a prescription from their doctor, this would be an alternative. The post is spelled “Cephaly” instead of Cefaly. There are also the electrodes on e-bay, but they are cheaper on the Cefaly US website.
Good luck if you get one. ----Cathy

Re: Cefaly availability
Cathy, I'm so glad it's providing some relief for you, even if just a little. Just a little is a lot to some of us, I know. I also don't use the Cefaly at full intensity. I think the important thing may be just to use it at the highest intensity that's comfortable and works for you, not necessarily the highest intensity.
BTW, if you're on Facebook, you might want to "like" the Cefaly Facebook page. They've had some recent studies posted lately.
Hope your luck continues.

Re: Cefaly availability
Thanks Carol!
I think time will tell and they will probably continue to tweek it with more research and information. Even if it doesn't get better than this, it's an improvement that has changed my quality of life.
I know you said you got good results also. I'm glad it helped you too.
