Free pain management workshops put on by the University of Victoria.

I thought this might be of interest to someone.

Thanks. I am in BC but I am a bit leery of such programs. I am afraid they will want to control my pain med intake and I wouldn't like that.

I'm going to one starting in April. I could use a little help in dealing with the emotional issues. I'm pretty grounded in what my meds are and my rights to take them so I'm not afraid of being talked out of taking anything. This is put on by the University and it looks like it is funded by the government, and not funded by some private group looking to bilk you out of money or rope you into an organization. Or I could be wrong.

I'm going to sign up and if I smell a rat, I'll jump ship and let you know.

I had this forwarded to me a while ago from a coworker to use with my patients. I took a quick glance and wrote it off as I thought it was for seniors only.

I took a closer look today. Unfortunately, there isn't one in my area during times I could attend.

Please keep us updated on how it goes.
