NEW, help for my migraines
Hi, i am a 36 yr old mom of 3i have been in pan mang for 4 yrs due to old injurgies caused by my first husband And by my teenage son ( learned from dad).along with body pain I have awful migraines! I feel very helpless, even with meds I M in awful pain everyday and wont go up in pain meds because I have to take care of my children.The meds have also caused my hormone levels to be Almost nothing, I am ANGRY.I dont want the rest of my life to be like this and the drs said there be no cure for the headaches.I have them for days at a time.... Please, I have not ever asked strNgers what to do but I am at a dead end...

I'm afraid your doctors are right. There is no cure.
What meds are you taking? Do you have anything to abort the migraine attack, such as triptans?

I am glad you decided to post- there are a lot of great people who give great advice here. I am sorry you are going through this.
I know you mentioned pain management- and I am glad you hav3e access to that. Are you seeing a neurologist or headache specialist for the migraines? If nothing else, he might have some ideas about preventatives or abortive for headache. Also, I am not sure what kind of pain meds you are on, but maybe you could change the current ones out- there may be something that will make you less groggy. For example, I tried the duragesic patch and it did noting except make me a zombie, but long acting morphine worked well. It is just a thought. (I had to stop most of the pain meds due to a fainting disorder- now on Tylenol 3 and tramadol for pain.)
