Service Dog!
Hi All,
I finally got my service dog. Her name is Dora. She is a black lab and is very sweet and well behaved.
She is not fully trained just yet. She starts school on Sept 1. in Jemison, about 45 min away from me. She will be there for about a month and I'll go up twicee a week to train with her. So far, she is very good at alerting to the fainting. She becomes quite clingy for a few minutes before and then she gets in front of me just before I fall. She usually breaks my fall. When I fall, she will not let me get uo immediately. If she thinks that I am going to faint again, she gives me this look- the same look mothers give when they do not want you to do something, "the if you get up now, you will fall again" look. So far it works well.
She is good company and knows when the headaches are bad too. I will share some pictures soon as well. I just wanted to let y'all know as everyone of you has been so supportive with all of this.
