Rough day and bad M

Hi All,

Today has been really rough for me. I have fainted about 30 times and the headache is just horrendous. I am really frustrated and I am so tired of this.

this afternoon, I had one episode when I became so sensitive to sound- it was as if every single sound was amplified. All I could do was put earplugs in and wait. It was almost like a sensory overload. I have been sensitive to sound before, but this was unusual. It went away fairly quickly. It is just frustrating.

The meds are helping some, but not a great deal. T3, Ultram, klonopin, and benedrul are helping some. I will call my neuro tomorrow and see about getting IV depakan. I am exhausted right now and I just do not know what to do anymore. I know that all I can do right now is rest and play "try to distract sailing from the pain." I just seem to be losing that game today-I have been able to crochet some and read some, and watch some TV, but that is all.

I am just frustrated by all of this.

sailing, i really have no idea how you have endured all this for so long. all i can do is offer compassion and hope that some medical person, somewhere, somehow......will figure this out for you.

how tired and frustrated you must be is beyond belief. we are all thinking about you, and praying for answers for you. dianne

i know how you feel. I am sure that all of us do... I have had migraines for weeks at a time, feeling like my brain is going to leak out of my ears. I will be thinking of you, and hoping that you get sme relief soon. ~nicole

Thanks so much for the replies. I don't know how I would make it without y'all.

I have a call in to my neuro about an IV of Depakan. I also found out that my old neuro, whom I adored, is back at the University hospital andd seeing patients. I have a referral and will soon have an appt with him. He was definitely one of the best neuro's I have ever seen. So this is goood. I hope I can set up the IV for later this week.

I had another bout of extreme sensitivity to sound whille we were in the grocery store. I got some earplugs and they helped tremendously. Anyway, I am resting now. The T3, klonopin, Ultram, and benedryl are helping some. So I hope things will improve soon.

Sailing, what is the word on your service dog? Hopefully, having a friend like that near you will help you cope.
