Your favourite TV?
It is autumn already and TV is returning to the normal schedule after long summer of repeats and boring shows, so I am looking forward to the return of my old favourites TV shows here in UK, like Downton Abbey and Srictly Come Dancing. I know that the long winter evenigs will be much more bearable with this two weekend shows to look forward too.
I wonder what it is that you are looking forward to watching, where you are.

Big Bang Theory- this is my son and his friends exactly. He left for college and I really miss my Sunday nerd herd playing D and D in the basement.
Grey's anatomy
Desperate Housewives

Apparently the next series of DH is the final one Mini.
We love it too, but I guess they felt they took it as far as they could.

I forgot to add in my original post, that Doc Martin is going to be back again, as well.
Are any of the UK programmes mentioned above also familiar to the US viewers?

Mini- I've seen ads for Downtown Abby on BBC America, but I'm fond of Dr. Who and Top Gear, from BBC.
I've been enjoying Fringe, and am ready for it to come back. And I've been fond of Bones since it started.

There are quite a few shows that we enjoy and I'm looking forward to.... Big Bang Theory, SVU, Castle, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, etc. We tend to really enjoy the legal / crime type shows.

Dancing with the stars here in Canada, basically the same as Strictly in the UK.
I'm also happy that Coronation Street is now on for one whole hour in the evenings, it used to be half an hour, but here in Canada we are a year behind the UK showings, so they are trying to catch up!

Re: Your favourite TV?
Thanks for bringing up TV! None of my friends watch a lot of TV like I do. Or, if they do they wont admit it. I am very sad about All My Children being over. I usually lie down at that time of day for a rest and watch it. I started watching sporadically as a teen.
I love Mad Men as well, just finished watching the last season on Netflix. I like Glee, Raising Hope,Greys Anatomy, and started watching Games of the Throne. Usually I can watch TV even if my head is too bad to read. My dogs sprawl on the bed with me, sometimes the cat, too.
Hugs,
Cindy

Just started Madmen.
Mostly I avoid the regular shows and stick to HGTV.
I can't take all the craziness and bad laugh tracks anymore.

Watch out with Madmen. It is hard to stop once you start! I didnt get a lot done until I watched all the episodes. It took a while because I hadnt watched any before that.

I also love some old shows. Makes you feel all cosy and warm. I love Lucy? Is it still going on? I would love to see it. I am in UK so I have not come across it here, but I adore Lucy.
We have repeats of Upstairs and Downstairs and this is still very watchable. Some series never age.

We have a new station here called Antenna TV. They air all the old shows. I love it. One of my favorites is Burns and Allen. They also have the Flying Nun, Gidget, Sanford and Son, etc....
