What are your guilty pleasures?
Here are my guilty pleasures.
1. Tabloid magazines (junk food for the brain)
2. Stale Cheetios
3. Mt. Dew (New Year's resolution to not drink it. So far I've failed).
4. Chanel #5 Bath Oil (My folks started giving me this many years ago every year for Christmas. Since they have passed away hubby has been good enough to continue the tradition. I love the stuff but wouldn't feel right spending that much on myself).

Re: What are your guilty pleasures?
1. I too am a tabloid reader. Not too bad, though. I steal em from my mom when she has them. Otherwise, i'll go without.
2. Jax cheese doodles, or really any chips for that matter. I'll polish off an entire bag in one sitting.
3. My bathroom. As stated before, I hide in here. I lie to people and tell them I am actually using the bathroom when I'm not just to get some peace and quiet. Sad part is, my bathroom is butt ugly LOL
4. Baby jeans. Sucker for em.
5. Expensive hair care and make-up products. Don't dare buy them now since we are very broke but I dream about them literally.

Books, books and more books... I'm an avid reader as it is a great escape for me.
Homemade nut and seed bars.. I made some this morning with pistachios, walnuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds..... yummmm..... and way cheaper than buying them. I just eat too many of them at a time.
Fritos.....

Angela: Sneaking a smile to all babies (How are you guys getting the quote boxes up? I can't figure it out)
It's a big joke in my family that if there's a baby within 50 ft. I'll get my hands on it. Whether I know the parents or not. Nothing makes me happier than sitting and cuddling a baby. My key to babynapping is to wait til they're fussy. Then the folks are usually willing to hand them off. Plus, babies like me so they usually settle down right away. I'm the Baby Whisperer.

guilty pleasures
I think of guilty pleasures as being something that is unhealthy and/or immoral, at least by some standards. Guilty pleasures = naughty pleasures. That's the way I interpret the phrase. I don't see why smiling at babies, bringing plants back to life, or talking to animals are guilty pleasures. That sounds very healthy and good to me.
On the other hand, one could look at it as anything one feels guilty about.
My guilty pleasures?
Cheetos
Ice Cream
Cookies
Do-nuts
See a theme here? In my defense, I have to say I don't indulge in these very often. Cheetos I restrict to road trips. Since that only happens a few times a year and last year, not at all, I didn't have any Cheetos. I will admit to Ice Cream, Cookies, and Do-nuts last year, but not very often.
My other guilty pleasures I cannot talk about on this forum due to its G-rated nature, but you can use your imagination.

Re: What are your guilty pleasures?
ok...I'll play.
My 3 WORST are...
1. My cleaning ladies (They come once a month and I pay them $95 dollars and I could really use that money for other things, but they scrub EVERY nook and cranny of this place by hand and it soooo helps me stay on top of the game for the rest of the month. I think I would give up food before them...lol)
2. Pedicures
3. Papa John's Pizza ( I eat it till I literally hurt!!)

oh man I've been dreaming of cleaning ladies since my mom got one when I was a teenager. Good for you, that must be awesome. I love the feeling of coming home to a clean house, especially when your not doing the scrubbing!

When I had my last baby, my Mom, as a baby present, hired a cleaning lady for me for six months. The best six months of my life. Sigh.

Re: What are your guilty pleasures?
Becky,
MY husband is the king of homemade caramel popcorn! How funny that we're both married to caramel corn maestro's?
He only makes it around Christmas time too...the air temp outside has to be just right. Bitter cold with no humidity. He's really a perfectionist about it, but I agree, the stuff is absolutely addictive!
Plus, it makes inexpensive gifts because everyone is always clamoring for his caramel corn.

Re: What are your guilty pleasures?
Biggest guilty pleasure: Las Vegas (I haven't been in over a year because I can't afford to go, but I LOVE Las Vegas)
Other top guilty pleasures:
driving fast
loud music and live concerts
See's candy
shortbread
five-star dining in expensive restaurants (can't afford to do that anymore either )
Psst, Gia, I'm a hair product junkie too, but I buy alot of stuff on Ebay and save a ton of money that way

Re: What are your guilty pleasures?
reading. I love being left alone and reading for as long as I wish.
Eating M&M's or some other yummy finger food as I read.
pizza and a beer would be great but my migraines will not let me indulge.
Dark chocolate
sleeping in and not having a headache when I wake up. I normally feel like I was hit by a truck in the morning. Most people feel refreshed in the morning. I feel horrible.

Re: What are your guilty pleasures?
Hmm...food seems to be a common denominator.
I've thought of more:
Linen water
Wandering through Pharmacies and Office Supply stores and buying all kinds of stuff I don't need (don't know what it is about those stores, but I love them! Such variety).
When shopping for clothes, giving up and buying perfume instead because it always fits.
Frosted pretzels
Double-stuff Oreo's
A stick of pepperoni with a big glass of milk (I know, weird combo, but I love it).
And on the more racy side, flashing my husband.

Re: What are your guilty pleasures?
My mother is here visiting. We went to the European Village (a triangular group of buildings which face inward towards a courtyard of sorts). There are little shops and restaurants there.
There is one called Shakespeare's. It's a British Tea Shop. Whenever my Mom visits, we go there for tea and scones. If I am especially gluttonous, I'll have Afternoon Tea which consists of a pot of tea (I get Earl Grey), and a 3 tiered plate of scones, clotted cream, preserves, fruit, & assorted finger sandwiches.
I baked brownies the other day (2 days ago). Mom had a couple and they're all gone. I'm not saying I ate them....as there is no evidence left...;-)
Carbohydrates are my downfall.

Oh, Leslie, that sounds divine.
I love Irish tea with milk and sugar, and scones with clotted cream and lemon curd or strawberry preserves. YUM!
I thought of another guilty pleasure: stationary stores. I love stationary, paper goods, wrapping paper, etc. I buy a ton of this stuff, hardly ever use it!

Re: What are your guilty pleasures?
hmmm.... that's easy!
Well, it's just drama in general
1. Tabloids... I do not care if I know how the celebrity is, I have to know what the magazine wrote
2. TV shows... Brothers & Sisters, Glee, and the bad one.... Keeping up with the Kardashians (I know... I do not know why I watch it)
3. Wedding Shows... Anything that includes wedding planning or choosing the dress... uh... I love it!!!!
I am such a chick!
(Oh, waking up on a Saturday & if I have nothing planned, just lay in bed for a half hour stair at the ceiling)

I'll add one to your list that's one of mine. Kendra! Love that flaky chick. I'm even rooting for the Colts to win the Superbowl because Hank's on the team.
Drives my son nuts that that is my criteria!
