There is a giant spider in my bath!
I had a gaint spider in my bath yestrday and I did not know what to do - I could not even have my usual morning bath and my neighboro was away, so I was dreading getting into my bathroom today.
Surely enough the spider was still there. I kept thinking all morning what I am going to do, I needed to do something I needed my bath!
Then I had a brainwave:
I was changing toilet roll at the time and was left with the inner tube, which I was about to throw away. Then I gave it a second look, and decided to turn it into a spider trap.
I blocked one end tightly with some scrunched toiled paper, then found a piece od flat cardboard. Then I left the open end very close to the spider in the bath, and surely enough when I came in few minutes later the spider was hiding inside (spiders like dark places, of course).
All I had to do next, was to press the cardboard agains the other side of the tube blocking it's exit and carry it to the open window, and drop the spider outside.
NO murder necessary, and no spider in my bath any more.
Must remember all this it next time it happens.
How do you deal with spiders in your bath, I wonder? Any more tips?

I'm afraid I"m not as kind as you are. I flush 'em.

But how do you catch them, Brenda? Are you sure they cannot swim?
They are so fast...So unpredictable.
They are supposed to be good as they get rid of all the nasty insects in the house, but I just cannot stand them.

I just wad up a big handful of toilet paper and grab them. I keep an eye on them until they're safely flushed away. The big problem here in the neighborhood are these big ugly centipede type bugs. Those creep me out badly. Way more than spiders. They're super fast and can grow pretty big. Everyone here has them. Not sure where they come from. They tend to like to crawl on the ceiling to make it hard to get rid of them. I take the vaccuum hose and suck them up to get rid of them.
