Hot food.......
Sometimes, only sometimes, my head is improved after some hot food. Sandwich or whatever makes no difference, but soup,or better still a hot meal can sometimes really help. BUT not always. I guess blood sugar, but not sure it is...
Anyone else relate to this please?

hot food
If I can cram down some liquid and calories, hot or cold doesn't matter, it can sometimes help. It's a race to beat the nausea, though.

See I hardly get any nausea, and only hot food seems to help. We are all so different yet the same....

I wonder if it is the calming effect of hot food because you have to slow down to eat it, therefore reducing the stress. Just a thought.
When I'm having a stressful day at work, I will crave a cup of tea or soup, even if I'm not hungry or want the taste of tea, just for the calming effect. It does reduce the start of a headache.

Pen, many many years ago when I used to get just headaches (before the migraines), I remember eating some hot pea soup (which I would hate now!) and it actually got rid of my headache, it's something I have always remembered, even though it was approximately 45 years ago! I was at my cousin's house and her mum (my aunt) served it to us for lunch. Maybe it would be something worth trying!

Re: Hot food.......
I prefer my food luke warm--neither hot nor really cold--and I try to eat a little something every couple of hours to keep my blood sugar balanced. Hot showers are wonderful! And I drink tons of water--all day and through the night. These things don't make the migraine go away, but they at least make me more comfortable and help to keep the nausea at bay.
