Pattern of migraine changed.
The pattern of my migraine has altered a little.
I wondered if anyone else had anything like i have, and could it be a positive thing?
I get them every 4/5 days. But the last few months I keep getting an 8 day break.
I woke with one this morning after 7 days, and the previous one was 8 days.
Kinda hoping this might mean it is shifting a bit.
Have no explanation as to why, but could it be a long term positive, or just a temporary shift?

change in pattern
Hi Pen,
I guess only God knows the answer to that question. I had a change in the intensity of the migraines, then a change in the frequency. Sometimes I think the frequency hasn't really changed (about every two weeks) but they are really subtle migraines. I'm not in any pain, just stupid for 24 hours, if that makes any sense. Hope it's permanent and it continues to improve.

Re: Pattern of migraine changed.
Thanks Lentils.
I am hoping it ight be a bit of a shift back to how it started....with hormonal cycle.
Either way, having a worse migraine is not good, but every 7/8 days has to be a little better than 4/5 I guess.
Since August I have had a 7/8 day gap at least once each month. This hasn't occurred with any regularity in years.
Been 4/5 at least last 3 years. Could my stupid hormones finally be giving up??
I hope so.....

pattern of M changed
In my 6.5 years the pattern changed several time whether freqrency, duration, or intensity. Sometimes when starting a new med I would have brief relief. { or stoping a med } Everytime i had one or two days in a row I would get excited thinking the misery is over.

Re: Pattern of migraine changed.
When you have a longer than usual break from the migraine, is the migraine worse when it comes back? If my son has an extra day in between his usual daily headache of even if he happens to go 3 days without one, we can always be sure the one he gets next will be a real bad one. That is what is so discouraging. Yet we are always hopeful when he gets a 3 day break (not often) that something is changing for the better, even though it hasn't happened yet. Does yours behave this way too Pen?

Re: Pattern of migraine changed.
It has done. Last time when I got 8 days it was a real bummer when it came.
But this one came yesterday after 7 days and the Triptan worked pretty well.
I am having a day off today which means it will be back in the morning.
I usually have two consecutive days, or I get a day off in between....
Will keep you posted.
Hope he gets a better break without a worse one...
