Has anyone seen this article?
on menstral cramps, brains, and pain perception?

What do you think? Could it have any implications for menstral migraines?

THAT, is really interesting, someone else sent it to me as well.
I am so sensitive to pain now I think.......it is constant.
I had the most painful cramps. I used to pass out (well hovering on) with the pain.
Very interesting, and YES, I think it could have implications, and they are the only migraines I ever had.

Interesting theory. I had severe cramps due to andeomyosis, so bad that even as a pre-teen I would miss several days of school every month and was given T-3. When I was 14 I was put on the pill to keep me from menstruating.
Hmmm....

Wouldn't it be great if migraine research scientists read that article?! I missed school too and was put on the pill to stop the madness. Even today I get it bad and along with it, so too goes the head.

I saw that and found it really interesting. I had awful cramps and nerve pain with my menses. Three or four days of just constant pain. My daughter also has horrible cramps. And we both have or had chronic migraines. Sarah is down from 3-4 a week to just two or so a month.
I'm glad that someone is looking into this aspect. When you think about it we women deal with a constant, recurring pain attack every month of our lives, barring pregnancy and that is a whole other pain. It's no wonder our brains adapt in a bad way. I'm happy for those women who don't have painful menses and sad for those of us who have the opposite.

I never had cramps. Well, an occasional cramp but it was fleeting and nothng that would cause me to miss school or work.
I've had migraines since I was in single digits, though. So maybe my brain was altered becaue of that pain?
Who knows?
