Newbie...and frustrated

Hello My name is Sara I have suffered from migraines since the age of 16. I recently moved and have had problems finding a new GP the one i have doesnt believe in any type of rescue meds for migraines I went in today after having a headache for a week straight and he hands me a script for nortryptaline and told me to take tylenol. A person can only take so much tylenol, I cant take tryptins because of reynauds I have developed an allergy to NSAIDS to the point i cant breathe 30 min after i hake even 200mgs of advil....so there first thought is that im a narcotic seeker...and im just trying to find my fix and thats further from the truth I have been on tramadol for almost 2 years everyday for joint pain due to having ehlers danloss and he wont give me that back either so im stuck what do i do???

I totally understand what you are going through. I kept looking. I still don't know if I have one that will be there in my time of need, as I finally got in to the pain specialist the same time I started seeing the new GP.

I recommend you ask this same GP for a referral to a physiatrist/ pain specialist. It took almost a year to get in but I'm so happy now to be connected to one.

Did you ever have an MRI of your brain? There is a condition called Chiari Malformation that seems to be linked to EDS. Chiari is diagnosed via an MRI, and the number one symptom is head pain. Here is a link to some info:
