Re: Caffeine
Vicki,
Interesting thought. I've had coffee every day for almost a year now. I'm not sure that it's causing a rebound. I know that if I don't have a cup, it's not that my head is worse but I just feel sluggish. Often times I can feel like total garbage and then have a cup and feel some better - things don't go away but they aren't as bad.
I guess I could try cutting it out for a week and see what happens. Rather scary thought but if I'm inadvertently making it worse, it would be good to know. Just don't want to torture myself either way.

Re: Caffeine
Vicki- That is an interesting thought. I'm not interested at this time on trying it since my migraines are "mostly" controlled. If I was getting them everyday I definitely would give it a shot. May anyway at some point. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Caffeine
If I have more than one cup of coffee a day it gives me a headache and makes me agitated.
However, sometimes I find that one cup of coffee or a glass of coke stops a threatening migraine from materialising.
I've also found that sometimes a glass of red wine does the same thing.
Maybe it has something to do with regulating your metabolism?
I'm not a medical person so that's purely hypothetical.

Re: Caffeine
Well I have been desparate to try and find something that could be causing my migraines so for about 2-3 months I completely cut out all caffeine. No tea, coke, chocolate or anything. I read all labels and made sure that there was no caffeine in what I was eating. Didn't seem to help. Still had terrible everyday pain. I went back to having it when I wanted. Still can't tell a difference in the pain with or without it.
