Coverage in our Daily Mail.
Nothing new, but a bit more clued up than some of the press articles.

caffeine
The comments from migraneurs were interesting. When I have a low level migraine caffeine will cure it, but I will pay for it two days later with a migraine, unless I have caffeine every day. I prefer to use it occasionally so that I don't get into a pattern of automatic migraine if I don't have any by a certain time. I hate the withdrawal symptoms. It feels like throbbing to me. The withdrawal symptoms always precede a migraine. I love the energy boost I get from caffeine, especially when I haven't had any in a while. That is my love/hate relationship with caffeine. I know I abused caffeine in my pre migraine days with 6-8 cups of coffee a day so that is probably why I am so sensitive now.

Re: Coverage in our Daily Mail.
I take Anadin Extra as an OTC. Caffeine isnt a problem for me. I have tried tablets with the same preparation but no caffeine and they don't work anywhere near as well.
Also in the article it states that 70/80% of migraines are hereditary.
That at least backs up the fact that I cant find any link in the family.
There doesn't have to be one....
