Poor patriotic pets!
For the Fourth of July, we put red scarves around our dogs' necks. They enjoy wearing their scarves because the scarves only come out when we are having a party, so they know that this signifies FUN!
Some people, however, go way too far in trying to show their patriotism with their pets. Check it out:

I guess I should mention that our dogs are ahead of these pets in patriotism anyway because their very names exude patriotism. They are Justice and Liberty.

I to think dressing up pets in clothing is ridiculous. So often I see people, usually senior citizens, who have some bizarre type of clothing on their dogs. They're dogs and no matter how hard you try they are not going to be able to help their empty nest problem.
Geeeeeeeez!!!! Lets have a little respect for our pets and not make them and the people that dress them look like freaks.
