New Symptom or Something Else
I have felt better in the last week and a half than I have since this all started. Now ~ this morning ~ about the same time I "used" to get my worst attacks I get a searing pain in my left temple along with semi-blindness in that eye, cold sweats, vague numbness in my arms, etc., and the same constriction in my sinus as with my attacks. Now followed by a pounding headache and visual disturbances and some panic because here we go again and where's it going to stop!
Does it never end? I really felt that we had the right dosage/combination this time!
Debbie
Well, i'll have to say it is migraine - now the exhaustion and yawning have begun

It' sso hard when they just keep coming. I hope you feel better soon and your meds start working better. Spring is hard..... too many triggers with the barometer and allergens... Tips the scale to much.

Debbie - I am so sorry that you are struggling today..............I know how frustrating the changing aura symptoms can be and how capricious the migraines are. I embrace the good times when they come and when the bad ones come and I get lost in my hell it is so hard to keep putting one foot in front of the other. I believe that migraine sufferers are so very strong and we always find a way to make it through.......be nice to yourself today..........don't push your body too hard and let it rest.
Also, if a new symptom appears that you feel may not be an aura symptom please tell your doc - we have to be very careful not to ignore new symptoms while at the same time not letting them panic us too much.......a balancing act I have yet to achieve! Last time I saw my neuro I commented that I am my own amusement park.......she just laughed..........don't think she really gets how frightening the aura symptoms can be! Please stay in touch!

Re: New Symptom or Something Else
Thank you both! Everything else checked out okay when I was in the hospital so even though it feels like i'm dying at times I know it's "just" the migraine. It scares me how quickly they can change to work around the meds - almost like they're adapting or evolving. I can handle most of it but when it effects my bp and I feel like i'm going down - it gets really scary. I never know where it will stop and that feeds my panic which in turn feeds the symptoms.
I like the amusement park comment - I sometimes feel that way!

Isn't it strange? We'll go along with mostly the same symptoms and all of a sudden the pain moves, or intensifies, or the vision disturbances are different. I read about symptoms of a stroke and think, how the heck would I know if I'm having a stroke because I live with those symptoms all the time? It's just never ending and we just have to keep trying and staying on top of it. Hang in there.
