All of us that are struggling badly the last few months.
I am interested in the point my husband made. If you are one of the above, and there seems to be quite a few of us...
Could you just say where in the world you live and if it is town or coutnry please. Also any bizarre weather that has been going on since you hit the downer.
Thanks a lot.
So me. South England. Edge of town/country. Very windy and wet for weeks since october. Now snow...

Mid-west, USA, live in the country exposed to wind. Very wet autumn, farmers are still struggling to get crops in that should have been in the beginning of November. Right now is cold with snow predicted.

Vancouver BC Canada....home of the 2010 Olympics...sorry...don't even know why I had to plug that one....had the worst episode ever that lasted from mid aug until November....weather seemed warmer and dryer then normal...but I don't know if it really was or I just thought it was.

what a coincidence
we had very mild autumn. Weeks with no rain then it rained non stop for 3 weeks.this has culminated in snow and freezing temperatures. Seems despite the miles between us' we have similar strange weather.
Anyone here not in USA or Canada?

Well, one of the nice people on this board posted about mediclim, and I signed up. I'm discovering that when the weather changes I am more likely to get migraines. I'm in the Southeast, and it snowed here this week.

Becky - oh my goodness and I thought we were cold this morning in southern England at - 6 centigrade (19 fahrenheit I think).
I've already got 3 layers of clothes on but I guess you're more prepared for it. Our country goes to pieces when it snows!

I know. You would think living in this country one would get used to the frigid temperatures, but instead, I think it's getting harder each year.
I knew it was bad when our 15-year-old dog's arthritis was so bad she could barely make it up the steps to come back in the house. Her pain and my pain seem to coincide a lot.

Becky that is COLD. Our 12 year old Retriever struggles so we up the Glucosamine and that seems to help.
We dont ever get temperatures like yours. but it is true that even a little snow can bring the country to a halt...
We are never ready.....they never grit the roads until the last minute and side roads don't get done.
Is your head worse when it is so very cold, do yu think there is any particular weather front that exacerbates it?
I cant call it....

Pen,
How much Glucosamine do you give your dog? Is it specially formulated for dogs, or can I just use any OTC Glucosamine tablets. Currently she gets a buffered aspirin daily, at the recommendation of our vet, which helps immensely.
You know, I can't really say any particular kind of front makes my head worse. I think any CHANGE in weather does it. Extremes in cold and heat seem to be the worst though, and we get the extremes both ways here--it's been +105 degrees F and more in the summer; and we've had -40 degrees F and colder in the winter without factoring in windchill.

Glucosamine
Becky we give Saffy doggie glucosamine. The dosage is usually recommended by weight...
she has from 2/3 tablets a day.
I think it is ok to give human kind, but your vet would advise you on that.
She is better on it for sure. Maybe yours would benefit?
Not given her aspirin, I wonder if we should....is it ok...is it just regular aspirin.

California, San Francisco Bay Area, Unseasonably cold (snow in Walnut Creek!!) Miserable since early November. The weather is fluctuating quite a bit. Lots of barometric changes make me miserable on all counts.

Just a catch up
Finally got some proper winter weather instead of the rain.
Snow, lots of it by UK standards ,and much colder.
No help to my head though, just going on the same as before.
So is or has the weather been a factor???
What do you think?
Anyone having less of a hard time...

Re: All of us that are struggling badly the last few months.
I am in Houston.. weather is warm-to-cold every day..seems like drastic shifts in temperature. I definitely notice changes in the frequency/severity of my migraines/headaches during change of seasons. I was doing good w/my headaches/migraines until about 2 weeks ago and now they're incessant.

Suburb of Chicago (on the very rural tip tho)
Weather since Oct. has been crap. drastic temp changes...rain for weeks...cold fronts, strong winds, snow and more snow.
Current: 20 some degrees on average and snow/freezing rain/wind
Who's enticed to move here???

better than usual
I'm in northern California also. where it has been colder than usual. However, my migraine situation has been better than usual the past few months. That is, until I opened my mouth about it. Weather, weather fluctuations, changes in barometric pressure do not seem to affect my migraines one way or the other.

Re: All of us that are struggling badly the last few months.
Now that our weather is pretty much normal winter weather (other than the snow), I am hoping to see some change.
Please do say if you get a break once your weather stabilizes (assuming it does)
Happy New Year
