Good news about my daughter!
Despite Zoe's almost daily head pain, she has managed to get straight A's doing the IB diploma this quarter. She also made the first cut for the a Merit scholarship! I am so proud of her determination after her difficult start this year. We started laughing when we read the article about the woman with Hemiplegic migraine who started speaking with a Chinese accent. Zoe has Hemipegic migraine also and hopes she will get a Spanish accent if it happens to her. It would be very helpful in class...

That is good news!!!
That is wonderful - congrats to Zoe!!! It must have been very difficult to do that well while being in so much pain. I hope she is able to find some relief from her pain someday soon. I'm not sure would have that same determination at a younger age.
We seemed to have a lot of things in common about our migraines as found in my post about going from 8 to 2 a month and here is another thing we have in common. My daughter who is 16 also deals with almost daily pain but not from migraine, it's from a rare disease called Mastocytosis. She has done exceptionally well in school and we are going to her National Honor Society induction ceremony tonight.
Take care, Beth

Thanks, Risa, Becky, and Beth. Zoe is such a hard worker, it inspires me to do as much as I can and not give up. Beth, congrats on your daughters induction into the NHS. It makes it even more special when we know the extra effort our kids are making do achieve these honors!

That's fantastic! I know how hard it is to watch your child study with constant migraine attacks. It takes a strong person to fight on through. Kudos to her!
